I’m a 20-something year old gal living in Kansas City. I have a business degree and I just passed the CPA Exam! I paid off $26,000 in debt (student loans, car loans, credit cards) in 3 years. I am currently debt-free and it is the most liberating feeling in the world!
Other tidbits about me? I workout frequently, love fashion but don’t know much about it, eat out regularly, have a penchant for goal-setting, despise cooking, dream big, wish every day was a summer day, and calculate my net worth much too often.
I plan to spend the rest of my life debt-free (except for a mortgage) and vow to never finance a car ever again.
So, what are my current financial goals? Now that I’m debt-free and have saved a $10,000 emergency fund, my biggest focus is saving for a down payment on a house. Lloyd and I plan to put at least 20% down, which means we’re working to save a cool $50,000. Speaking of Lloyd, we recently got engaged (!) and are now in the process of planning our wedding. I’m doing my best to try to keep this shin-dig from getting too expensive. Follow my journey as I save for a house and try to plan a somewhat stress-free and affordable wedding!
I blog anonymously. I do this because I have personal and private financial information listed here. However, I have fallen so deeply in love with writing and blogging that I’m transitioning to the world of non-anonymous blogging. It’s a slow process but I am so excited! Stay tuned!
Like what you see? I think writing is pretty fabulous. I thrive on sharing my thoughts through an entertaining, yet smart, flow of writing. I can write about personal finance, taxes, health, exercise, self-improvement, frugality, saving money, getting out of debt….okay, you get the picture.
